Step 1- Schedule a "Face Reality Consultation" appointment with one of our estheticians.  At your appointment, we will educate you on how acne is formed, common triggers that can cause acne that might currently be in your routine or lifestyle, and how we plan to clear your skin.  We will instruct you on how to use your new products and possibly do your first acne treatment that day! We are available to answer any of your questions and help guide you every step of the way, even after you leave the treatment room.

Step 2-  Initially, we will schedule your acne treatments every 2-3 weeks until you are cleared.  Each client is different, but most can expect to see clear skin within 4-6 months, as long as the treatment plan is followed and homecare products are used correctly and consistently.   Your skin will be analyzed at each appointment to determine the correct treatment for that day, and also to check your clearing progress and make any adjustments needed in your home care routine. 

Step 3- Once clear, you will remain using your acne product routine to maintain clear skin.  We will also schedule maintenance treatments every 6-8 weeks to keep your skin looking its best!  At this time, we will also look into options to correct scarring from breakouts, if desired.  

A dermatologist is a medical doctor specializing in diagnosing and treating skin conditions, diseases, and disorders.  They can prescribe medications, perform medical procedures, and address more complex skin health issues.  An esthetician, on the other hand, focuses on the cosmetic and maintenance side of skin care, offering treatments like facials, chemical peels, and acne care to improve skin appearance and overall health.  While we dont diagnose or prescribe, estheticians play a vital role in personalized skin care and prevention.  The two professions often complement each other in promoting healthy, beautiful skin.  

All Face Reality acne clients are required to do a consultation before starting the program.  You have the option of booking the "Face Reality Acne Consultation" or "Face Reality Consult and Treatment" if you would like to start your treatment program that day. 

You can expect to have treatments every two weeks in the beginning of the program for about 4-6 months. After that, maintenance treatments will be scheduled every 6-8 weeks. 

Each client is different, but on average, clients are considered "clear" after 4-6 months, as long as they are consistent with their home care products and treatments.  

For new clients who aren't sure which service they need, there is the "New Client Consultation and Treatment" option.  This service includes time for a consultation to go over your skin's needs, and allows time to receive a treatment that day.

Yes! While some products/ingredients are not safe while pregnant, we offer many options for our Mamas-to-be so that they too can enjoy some much needed self care.
